Responsibilities

You will use data analytics to contribute to system modeling and data analysis activities for the purpose of supporting new business, weapon system design and performance, kill chain architectures, and wargaming advanced concepts
You will support the design, development, and utilization of variable-fidelity digital simulation software in advanced technical computing environments
You will contribute your knowledge of performance engineering practices, and procedures, to evaluate work across a wide range of intriguing computational problems to answer questions such as: what should be the next system improvement; or what is the effectivity of the missile against a single or multiple threats; or what counter measures should be considered to increase effectivity and/or survivability and other operational performance related questions
You will contribute to system modeling and data analysis activities for the purpose of supporting new business, missile system design and performance
You will contribute and collaborate in a team environment, receiving input from the program, external customers, or team experts, and work on projects, as you determine, develop, and implement analytic approaches that will generate the supporting data to inform programmatic decisions
You will provide support to simulation, modeling and analysis activities throughout the product lifecycle
You will participate in the development and implementation of model-based solutions to support mission trade studies using mission and engagement level simulations to ensure they meet defined requirements and performance

Required

Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
This position requires 12 months or less relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
Applied and/or academic experience of modeling and simulation physical systems
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Specific majors: Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Math, Applied Math, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering
Experience with advanced analytical metrics and methods from competitive sports applicable to Red vs Blue military wargaming and campaign analysis, such as football/baseball/basketball sabermetrics, Moneyball, golf Shotlink, Fangraphs, and sports-reference.com
Data analytics coursework, projects, or work experience
Experience in the areas of data analysis and statistics, especially dealing with large volumes of data
Knowledge of the system engineering life-cycle model
Coursework or internship experience in the following areas:
Software development processes and object-oriented design using C/C++ and/or Java in either Unix or Linux computing environments
Scripting languages such as Python, Shell or Perl
Numerical computing environments such as MATLAB
AI/ML and high-performance computing (HPC) grids
