Electrical/Avionics Technician - Airframe Team

The Avionics Line Maintenance Technician will perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of aircraft instrument and avionics components under moderate supervision, ensuring compliance with manufacturer's specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

With moderate supervision, inspects, performs basic troubleshooting, repairs, test, removes and replaces avionics and instrument wiring and systems installed in various airframes. Uses hand tools, test equipment and technical documents. Orders necessary parts to complete the job
Performs basic checkout of aircraft systems that interface with avionics systems
Enters description of work completed on the work order and properly documents removal and installation of aircraft parts and components according to approved data and Duncan approved procedures
Assists bench technicians in the resolution of discrepancies in avionics and instrument components and systems removed from aircraft
Accompanies flight crews to perform in-flight troubleshooting and adjustments and performs preflight evaluations of avionics and instrument systems
Maintains and cleans line maintenance test equipment and work area as required. Operates ground support equipment as necessary
Attends factory and company technical classes and participates in OJT to increase technical skills and proficiency. Maintains training log and keeps it updated
Able to work all alternate shifts of the department as needed, and accomplish road trips within the United States and abroad as needed
Performs other duties as assigned by management

Required

Must have a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record
Regularly scheduled attendance required
Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs., occasionally up to 75 lbs.; read small print; identifies colors; repetitive motion; tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments
High school graduate or equivalent required
One year related Avionics or Electronics experience or Certification in Avionics, Electronics Technology, Airframe Maintenance or related field required for Avionics Line Maintenance Technician I
Two to three years related Avionics, Electronics, Airframe Maintenance or related experience required for Avionics Line Maintenance Technician II
Associates degree or equivalent required for Avionics Line Maintenance Technician III
Minimum five years related Avionics, Electronics, Airframe Maintenance or related experience required for Avionics Line Maintenance Technician III
