Universal Studios Hollywood is a theme park built around a working movie studio, focusing on creating seamless experiences for guests. The Show Control team is responsible for managing crowd control at live shows, ensuring guest safety, and providing exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

Assist guests into and out of queues and venues in a timely manner for the live attractions/shows in the theme park. Ensure guest safety before, during and after each assigned performance. Monitor isles and exits at all times
Communicate approved spiels to guests as directed, with the possibility of adding spontaneous changes
Maintain venue and queue cleanliness, as well as, ensure proper show set-up before and after each performance. Understand and demonstrate the proper use of safety practices and ensure department standards are maintained and safety policies for the Park upheld
Direct guest traffic while being attentive to guests with special needs and/or guests with priority passes/ VIP’s. Full awareness at all times in regards to show loading changes, and performance commencement
Relay pertinent up-to-date venue/show information or changes to Lead/Supervisor including Post-Show attendees, show “turn- a-ways”, guests’ issues and/or recovery measures, etc
Promote and provide extraordinary guest service for both internal and external guests; answer questions, offer information, and provide assistance in a courteous manner
Understand and demonstrate the proper use of safety practices and ensure department standards are maintained and safety policies for the Park upheld
Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment for both team members and guests of all ages, following all company guidelines and protocols
Identify, de-escalate, and resolve conflicts or disturbances professionally and effectively to maintain a positive atmosphere
Provide a positive and welcoming experience for guests of all ages while maintaining composure during difficult interactions
Maintain a high level of trust and integrity to promote a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues of all ages
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Must be 18 years old or older
Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs with assistance
The noise level is generally moderate to high
Team Members are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather. Depending on the assigned location, work can be almost exclusively outdoors
Must be available to work at least 4 days per week throughout the peak seasons to include a rotation of mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
