Mid LevelExcelon Solutions is seeking a Websphere Administrator to manage and configure WebSphere Application Server. The role involves creating profiles, deploying applications, troubleshooting issues, and performance tuning within the WebSphere environment.

Responsibilities
Creation of different type of profiles, federation of multiple nodes to deployment manager
Creating clusters and cluster members and conjuration of JVMs including Horizontal and Vertical Clustering for failover and backup/recovery processes
Deploying ear/war applications through the deployment scripts and administration console. Configuration of WebSphere resources including JDBC providers, data sources, J2C Authentication aliases and Connection pooling
Analysing and troubleshooting problems related with installation of WebSphere application server, Starting/Stopping of servers, Application installation, 404 error, 500 error and page can't be displayed
Experience in Installing & Configuring the WebSphere Plug-In for remote Web Servers. Hands on Experience in applying Fix Packs, Refresh Packs Using Update Installer
Configuring global security and installing SSL certificated to both Application and Web servers. Troubleshooting, Load Balancing, Clustering, Deploying Applications, Performance Tuning and Maintenance of Apache Server
Generating and analysing the Java heap dumps and working collaborating with respective application teams for the better performance of the application
Deploying application ears on IBM WebSphere Application Server System Test and Performance Test methods
Configuring WebSphere resources such as JDBC Providers, Data Sources and Connection Pooling and administered performance tuning
Garbage collection data for monitoring JVM heap sizes
Analysing logs, Head Dumps and Thread dumps generation data
Troubleshooting WebSphere Application Server connection pools
Setting the trace path according to requirement and share logs of trace and server
Enabling the performance monitoring infrastructure for individual profiles
Administrative tasks including Web Sphere Application Server domain Configuration which includes components like Web Sphere Application server, IHS web server
Experience in Ifix Patching as Recommended by IBM
Experience in SSL Certs Creation and configuration for WAS
Experience in virtual host creation, Plugin generation and configuration with IBM HTTP
Jenkins Continuous Integration, Delivery and Deployment concepts (SDLC)
Job handling in Jenkins along with installation and Configuration concepts and performance Tuning
Types of Pipelines in Jenkins
Scheduled Stop/Start concepts
Build Cause and ways to trigger a Jenkins Job/Pipeline
Scopes of Jenkins Credential handling
Shared Library and job handling parameters
Blue Ocean concepts and Conventional UI concepts
How the information between different build steps or stages in a Jenkins Jo
Installation of Custom Jenkins Plugin or a Version of Plugin in Jenkins Update Centre
Jenkins API and in- process Script working methodology
Jenkins common Observability tools
Assigning Permission for scheduled jobs and working on troubleshooting part for any issues
Troubleshooting the hung jobs and Application hung concepts
Hands on experience with the scheduling jobs and application deployment issue analysis
Qualification
Required
