Responsibilities
Lead all accounting operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and full financial statement preparation
Maintain and reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
Oversee billing and receivables, handle multi-state tax compliance, and estimated tax filings in conjunction with external accountant
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Produce Profit & Loss (Income Statement), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements
Manage equipment and asset records, property tax, and depreciation schedules
Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP and associated HR processes
Ensure compliance with business licenses, and bond as needed
Assist with Accounts Payable, subcontractor documentation, and other general tasks
Ensure license and DOT compliance
Build relationships and communicate effectively with owners, vendors, customers, and internal staff
Qualification
Required
AS in accounting, business or related degree
5+ years of experience in a related role
Solid foundation in accounting principles (GAAP)
Strong Excel and MS Office skills
Initiative and flexibility; must be willing to take on various tasks as needed
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal
Preferred
QuickBooks experience preferred
Experience in vending service a plus
Familiarity with multi-state licensing and compliance
