Senior Compliance Specialist
Roers Companies is a national leader in multifamily real estate investment, development, construction, and property management. They are seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to ensure compliance with program guidelines, mentor junior staff, and support audit preparations.

Responsibilities
Review and approve move in and annual recertification files prepared by Compliance Specialists to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program guidelines
Assist with file processing when needed
Provide clear feedback to Compliance Specialists on corrections, deficiencies, or improvements needed to maintain compliance standards
Serve as the first point of escalation for complex compliance questions, providing guidance to both site teams and compliance staff
Assist with preparing compliance reporting for investors, state agencies, and internal leadership
Support internal and external audit preparation by ensuring files are audit-ready and addressing findings promptly
Track compliance activity and reporting deadlines, and escalating concerns to Compliance Managers as needed
Mentor and support Compliance Specialists by sharing expertise, answering questions, and reinforcing best practices
Collaborate with Compliance Manager and Director to identify trends, training needs, and process improvements
Take on additional compliance-related projects and assignments to support business needs
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated expertise in affordable housing compliance, including knowledge of LIHTC and other housing program requirements
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and ensure accuracy under tight deadlines
Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback to junior staff
Experience reviewing files for investor, state agency, or internal compliance audits
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy

Preferred
Proficiency with property management and compliance software (e.g., Yardi, Rent Café) preferred
