Review structural drawings and specifications of public schools, community colleges, and essential services building projects to ensure compliance
Provide consultative and technical assistance to architects, contractors, engineers, and other key stakeholders during the plan review process
Conduct assessments of existing buildings to determine their integrity and safety and make recommendations on required renovations
Conduct construction site visits to ensure compliance to safety codes and regulations
Qualification
Required
Expertise in structural engineering
Ability to review structural drawings and specifications
Experience providing consultative and technical assistance to architects, contractors, engineers, and other key stakeholders
Capability to conduct assessments of existing buildings for integrity and safety
Experience making recommendations on required renovations
Ability to conduct construction site visits to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations
Eligibility to take the Senior Structural Engineer or Structural Engineering Associate exam
