Responsibilities
Deliver Primary instruction within the International Program, aligned with the Common Core and/or Oxford International Curriculum, as assigned by the school
Teach up to 30 teaching periods per week, plus 2 fixed ECA or tutorial periods (35 minutes per period)
Operational Flexibility: Teachers may be asked to adjust their schedules occasionally to meet the needs of the school community, which includes supporting colleagues by covering classes when necessary
Lesson Planning: Teachers have access to quality resources to support lesson planning and student engagement
Non-Contact time: Free periods for lesson planning, administrative tasks and covering
Attend annual parent-teacher meetings as scheduled
Collaborate with local teachers to effectively communicate with parents about academic and social matters, including follow-ups on reports and during parent-teacher meetings
Regularly update student progress each quarter in our LMS system
Ensure a purposeful and safe learning environment for all students
Provide regular, constructive feedback on the effectiveness of the curriculum and teaching materials
Attend and participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events
Qualification
Required
A university degree in a relevant field with a preference for those holding a Bachelor in Primary Education
Professional Teaching qualification/license/certification as applicable
At least two years of post-qualification teaching experience at Primary level, gained in a recognized school setting (e.g. international, bilingual, or mainstream primary school)
Fluent English Speaker (Minimum C1 Fluency)
For non-native English speakers: a valid IELTS certificate (minimum overall score 8.0) or an accepted equivalent English proficiency qualification is required at the time of application
Demonstrated ability to manage a Primary classroom effectively and deliver structured, age-appropriate learning
Experience applying 21st-century teaching practices, including differentiated instruction and student-centered learning approaches
Competence in educational technology, including the use of digital tools and interactive presentations
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and parents
Adaptable, professional, and collaborative, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a school environment
Preferred
Preference will be given to candidates with a Master degree
