Kelly Services is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to support a valued client in Anchorage. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain financial statements, general ledger entries, and supporting documentation
Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis of financial data to ensure completeness and accuracy
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, monitor aging reports, and resolve discrepancies
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparation of schedules and reports for auditors
Maintain and update shareholder records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper accounting and reporting for company transactions
Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant local/state/federal regulations
Provide financial analysis and reporting to management as needed

Required

Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance roles
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic office setting

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
Familiarity with other accounting or database management tools is a plus
