Talent Mappers is supporting a legal services company in a Director FP&A search. The Director FP&A Analyst will analyze financial data, create forecasts, and provide insights into business performance to support decision-making within the company.

Responsibilities

Financial Modeling: Develop models to project company performance under different scenarios
Variance Analysis: Compare actual results vs. forecast/budget to explain over- or under-performance
Reporting: Prepare dashboards, monthly business reviews, and reports for executives or department leaders
Business Partnering: Work closely with different departments (sales, operations, HR, etc.) to understand drivers of performance and advise on financial decisions
Strategic Support: Provide insights for long-term planning, M&A activity, or new business opportunities

Required

Develop models to project company performance under different scenarios

Strong Excel & financial modeling skills
Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, Hyperion, Anaplan, SAP
Analytical and detail-oriented thinking
Ability to communicate financial insights in clear, business-friendly language
Understanding of accounting fundamentals (GAAP/IFRS)
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related analytical roles

Preferred

CPA, CFA, or MBA is sometimes preferred for senior FP&A roles
