Supervising the examination and reporting of property valuations and evaluating the performance of all 55 county assessors
Overseeing the development and administration of policies regarding appraisal methodology and ensuring adherence during audits
Ensuring comprehensive training for employees, county offices, and external parties on appraisal methodology
Supervising all industrial appraisal activities within the Property Tax section
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Seven (7) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as an appraiser or related experience
A valid driver's license is required
Comprehensive knowledge of West Virginia appraisal and assessment laws
Proficiency in computer skills and the ability to utilize the state's Integrated Assessment System (IAS)
