Responsibilities

Lead and oversee daily survey crew operations
Perform topographic, boundary, ALTA, and building surveys
Collect and verify survey data using GPS and Total Station equipment
Ensure survey accuracy, safety compliance, and quality control
Perform field calculations and maintain survey equipment
Coordinate field activities with project managers
Ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met

Required

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief
Strong proficiency in land survey data collection
Skilled in the use of GPS and Total Station equipment
Ability to lead crews with precision and accountability
Proficient in technical math
Knowledge of field safety procedures and protocols
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed
Reliable transportation
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred

Relevant land surveying certifications or licensure
TxDOT project experience
Experience with Trimble equipment
Associate's degree in surveying
Familiarity with 3D laser scanning and drone services
Experience with both commercial and municipal projects
