Responsibilities
Act the Quality Lead for the Lowell Manufacturing site supporting strategic Quality Initiatives identified by the Divisional team and managing the core responsibilities daily at the site to drive quality improvement
Own the results for critical quality metrics along with the reporting tools to accurately convey performance
Manage Quality technician direct reports and assess workloads and responsibilities to align with quality requirements
Lead quality projects to support the operations quality strategy improving reduction in customer claims in the market and/ or reducing internal losses
Lead Supplier Quality Improvement initiatives driving corrective action and managing the raw material rejection process to minimize internal losses and impact to HOLD accrual
Lead Quality Critical updates and actions through the Managing for Daily Improvement process
Lead customer and internal corrective action requests implementing countermeasures to prevent recurrence
Perform capability analysis to understand how the site is maintaining key CTQ’s
Support the MOC/TOD process to ensure any process changes are properly accounted for and potential impact to quality
Establish and assess quality testing standards and required frequencies based on risk and product requirements
Site Calibration Quality lead and review of inspection equipment adequacy and needs
Perform other tasks or project work as assigned by manager and leadership
Practice all health and safety procedures, policies and practices
Practice excellent housekeeping. Maintain a clean and organized work area
Participate in all required safety training and initiatives
Qualification
Required
Minimum 6 years experience as an engineer in the manufacturing industry required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science or equivalent
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Actively seeks knowledge, skills and experience in order to grow and develop
Good trouble-shooting/problem-solving and mechanical ability
Demonstrated problem-solving experience
Must be able to actively contribute in a team based environment; encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal
Schedule flexibility to support operations as needed
Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office
Preferred
Previous Quality or Process Engineering experience preferred
