Sr. Systems Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

Conceive, design and execute system-level studies that address high-priority integration issues that span the instrument/consumable/assay
Lead characterization and optimization of sample prep workflows
Lead the development and execution of experimentation that isolates and characterizes different aspects of assay and system performance
Be a leader in the thoughtful approach to scientific analysis that supports data-driven technical decisions
Independently design, execute and analyze studies in the wet lab that utilize PCR, sample prep, nucleic acid extraction techniques, and quantitative analysis of data
Serve as an integration bridge between engineering, assay development, consumables, software, and manufacturing teams

Required

Bachelor's degree in a technical field relative to systems integration such as an engineering or physics degree
At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the medical device field or diagnostic industry

Hands-on wet-lab experience performing PCR / qPCR, Sample prep workflows (lysis, extraction, purification), nucleic-acid quantification and QC methods
