Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts

Perform manual and automated testing across web, API, and backend layers

Conduct ETL/data pipeline testing for large-scale data movement and transformation

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to story grooming and estimation

Generate test data and simulate real-world scenarios to ensure robustness of applications

Validate and report data and functional defects and track them till closure

Identify, log, and track defects using tools like Clickup or JIRA

Ensure the reliability and performance of system under test through robust testing, process monitoring, and maintenance procedures

Continuously improve quality assurance processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the process

Monitor and track key quality metrics and performance indicators to provide insights into the process and product quality

Create and maintain test automation scripts (if applicable) using tools like Selenium, Postman, REST Assured, or Python-based frameworks

Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to ensure that quality is built into all stages of product development

Participate in technical initiatives that align with business goals and objectives

Properly document the test activities and contribute to the test deliverables

Work in an agile, collaborative, distributed, fast-paced and exciting environment

Required

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing

Solid understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.)

Hands-on experience with database testing, preferably in data warehouse or analytics projects

Strong command over SQL with ability to write complex joins, CTEs, sub-queries, data comparisons, etc

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to work in distributed, cross-functional teams and experience with onsite/offshore models

Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge

Preferred

Represents a big plus experience in CRE and Financial domain

Represents a big plus experience in data warehousing concepts like landing & staging interfaces, data mart access layers, data contracts etc

Represents a big plus experience in dbt (data build tool), Snowflake, Power BI Desktop, Power Query

Familiarity with automation frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit) is a plus

Experience in version control tools like Git
