Lead Commercial Counsel

SpecterOps is seeking a hands-on, business-minded attorney to manage all commercial contracting. The Lead Commercial Counsel will serve as the primary legal partner for various teams and will be responsible for improving the contracts playbook and enhancing the contracts function through better alignment of people, processes, and technology.

Responsibilities

Lead negotiation and drafting of customer MSAs, SOWs, order forms, renewals, amendments, DPAs, and vendor SaaS/service agreements
Improve the existing contracts playbook by identifying gaps and clarifying fallback positions
Enhance the contracts function through better people, process, and technology alignment
Partner with Sales, Security, Finance, and Procurement to balance risk with deal velocity
Provide guidance and leadership to members of the contracts/legal staff
Work with outside counsel as needed and help shape the future operating model of the legal/contracts function

Required

8+ years of experience focused on commercial contracts in B2B SaaS, ideally in cybersecurity
Strong negotiation skills and ability to create or improve templates and playbooks
Excellent attention to detail, prioritization, and practical judgment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain the highest standard of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
JD and active license required
