Senior Quality Engineer

Responsibilities
Serve as site quality leader, utilizing and implementing corporate Factory Floor Quality System (FFQS) and Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes to eliminate errors in all facets of the business
Lead internal, customer, and outside certification audits (ISO 9001:2015)
Analyze quality data and trends to drive continuous improvement efforts and investments; reducing scrap and cost
Lead investigations and use root cause analysis methodologies to assess quality issues and come up with corrective actions
Lead and coordinate actions to rapidly respond to customer returns
Manage facility inspection equipment including storage, handling, and calibration
Work with customers and suppliers to mitigate and resolve quality issues
Reviews quality standards, tolerances, and engineering changes
Investigate, establish, and implement requirements for inspection and testing methods, techniques, equipment, and facilities
Manage gauge calibration for the site
Lead the site Corrective Action and Preventative Action (CAPA) process
Drive visual management into all aspects of the manufacturing environment
Share and standardize best practices and processes
Develop and administer standard work practices/employee training
Support the development, implementation and updating of the HSE Policies and procedures in line with the IMI HSE Framework
Support accident/incident investigations to drive a continuous improvement of all processes
Carry out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans
Prepare and implement appropriate KPI’s to drive company and departmental HSE performance
Ensure regulatory compliance in line with local legislation and communicate any changes to the Management Team
Carry out and lead internal, external, customer, sub-contractor, and regulatory risk assessments / audits / inspections, as required
Take the lead for all HSE related committees on site
Conduct hazard communication & regulatory training at the site
Serve as point person for IMI HSE Framework Assessment & associated actions
Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering required
4+ years of experience in the quality engineering field or in a related area
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
Demonstrated experience in applying quality standards (i.e., ISO 9001) and process improvements
Practical experience with quality and statistical analysis tools (e.g. SPC, Six Sigma, Risk Analysis, FMEA, Design of Experiments (DOE), Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (R&R), trend analysis, 8D, etc.)
Experience with Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) and failure investigation tools and techniques
Ability to identify problems and use solid judgment in selecting analysis methods and techniques for obtaining options and/or solutions
Excellent verbal, listening, application and written communication skills, including the ability to train and educate others
Excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, and written/oral communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Willing to obtain (company-sponsored) NEBOSH Certification within 12 months of hire
Willingness to travel as required (less than 10%)
Preferred
Experience in ERP systems, Epicor preferred
