Billing and Compliance Specialist

Korean American Family Services (KFAM) is a non-profit organization specializing in gender-based violence, mental health, and foster/adoption services to API immigrant families. KFAM is seeking a Billing and Compliance Specialist to provide billing, QA, and administrative support for the Mental Health Department.

Responsibilities

Process medical insurance claims, verifying insurance, ensure accurate and timely billing
Conduct billing audits for CAPIT cases to ensure accuracy and compliance
Review and follow-up with denied claims for DMH billing
Manage Electronic Health Record system (update forms, etc.)
Generate quality assurance reports to help clinicians in attaining outcome measures and ensuring appropriate documentation in a timely manner for DMH
Support therapists on case management duties as needed
Provide translation services as needed
Assist with outreach events as needed
Cover front desk duties as needed
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Fluent in English; minimum conversational Korean required (reading/writing a plus)
Must be a self-starter, highly driven, and able to work independently
Must have strong organizational skills, be good at multi-tasking, and detail oriented
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills—good at working with people
Must have driver's license, insurance and be willing to drive, as needed

Preferred

Medical biller certification or billing experience, preferred
QA experience, a plus
