Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end architecture for Copilot and Fabric Agents across:
Data ingestion
Lakehouse / Warehouse modeling
Semantic layer
Copilot & AI Agents
Define architecture patterns for:
Grounded AI
Context-aware Copilot experiences
Secure data access
Lead technical design reviews and approvals
Mentor Copilot / AI Engineers and Data Engineers
Design and govern:
Fabric workspace strategy
OneLake architecture
Lakehouse vs Warehouse patterns
Semantic model standards
Ensure data structures are Copilot-optimized
Enforce performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency best practices
Define environment separation (Dev / Test / POC)
Define Copilot and Fabric Agent architecture patterns
Establish standards for:
Agent instructions
Prompt templates
Grounding strategies
Response formatting
Approve and refine prompt engineering approaches
Define strategies to minimize hallucinations and bias
Validate explainability and business trust in AI outputs
Provide architectural guidance for:
Python-based orchestration in Fabric notebooks
AI evaluation frameworks
Automated testing of Copilot outputs
Review and approve Python code for:
Data enrichment
AI validation
Performance optimization
Guide integration of Python workflows with Fabric APIs
Define AI governance model:
RBAC and RLS enforcement
Data access boundaries
Prompt and agent usage controls
Ensure alignment with:
Responsible AI principles
Enterprise security and compliance standards
Partner with Security and Risk teams to approve Copilot usage
Define success metrics and acceptance criteria
Establish testing standards for:
Accuracy
Reliability
Performance
Security
Review validation results and approve readiness for demo or scale-out
Ensure traceability between data, insights, and Copilot responses
Act as the primary technical advisor to:
Product Owners
Business stakeholders
Program leadership
Translate business goals into technical architecture
Identify risks, constraints, and trade-offs early
Drive technical decision-making during the POC lifecycle
Produce and approve:
Architecture diagrams
Design standards
Best practice guidelines
Create handover artifacts for production teams
Define roadmap for post-POC evolution
