The State of Michigan's Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) is seeking an IT Manager for the Office of Chief Technology Officer. This role involves managing the resources of the Enterprise Monitoring section and directing technical staff to ensure the State’s critical applications and infrastructure function properly.

Responsibilities

Manage the resources of the Enterprise Monitoring section within Core Infrastructure Services

Direct technical staff responsible for highly complex activities, such as using and overseeing a variety of analytical and configuration tools and methodologies

Ensure the State’s critical applications and infrastructure are functioning properly

Perform Level 3 triage and diagnostic activities to assist application owners with resolving application performance issues

Apply knowledge of technology to develop and implement creative approaches to the management of system resources and information processing service delivery

Required

Possession of a bachelor's degree with not less than 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics

Three years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator 12

Three years of experience as a computer programming supervisor or Information Technology Supervisor may be substituted for the education and experience
