Materials Management Coordinator

Responsibilities

Coordinating day-to-day activities in the site Logistics and Supply Chain Department
Ensuring adequate levels of supplies and equipment are maintained and accessible to units and departments
Exercising initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods

Required

Minimum three-year (3) relevant experience in a Supply Chain environment
Minimum one-year (1) supervisory experience
Previous experience working with MS Dynamics GP is considered an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and Email
Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
Knowledge of Safe Work practices and familiarity with Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulations
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to effectively supervise employees
Demonstrated ability to promote and maintain a positive work environment
Demonstrated ability to take initiative
Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work in a fast paced and changing environment
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional working relationships
Demonstrated effective collaboration, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team as well as independently

Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions
Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums
Good work and attendance record
Requires a valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000
Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job, including occasional lifting of up to 50lbs
May be required to work in a variety of temperatures including excessive heat or cold
No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions
May work evenings and weekends as necessary
Will be required to travel to other facilities as required
Completes and maintains Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check

Preferred

Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Health Management, Management Information Systems an asset
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Enrollment in a relevant certification program is considered an asset (such as SCMP, APICS, CIM, CPIM)
