Responsibilities

Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with others to achieve common objectives

Proven ability to explore complex datasets, identify key trends, and translate analytical findings into actionable business insights

Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction, loading and transformation (ELT) processes

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java for scripting and data manipulation tasks

Experience working with databases, preferably cloud columnar databases such as Snowflake and SQL knowledge

Familiarity with basic data modeling concepts and techniques

Perform data cleansing and validation tasks to ensure data accuracy and integrity

Implement data quality checks and alerts within data pipelines

Communicate with source system experts to gather information about data sources, structures, and business rules

Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements

Provide support for data-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise

Monitor data pipeline performance and address any disruptions or failures

Required

Education: Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science (Information Management) or Statistics

Experience: 0-2 years

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Intermediate SQL knowledge

Foundational knowledge of Dbt

Experience working with GitHub and CI/CD Data/DevOps processes preferred

Experience with enterprise visualization software (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau etc)

Foundational understanding of data modelling and data warehouse concepts

Ability to work independently, under supervision, and in a creative environment

Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
