Creative Graphic Designer

Purple Finch Events is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer for Production & Events to join their creative team supporting nonprofit clients. This role focuses on creating cohesive visual suites for various events and initiatives, collaborating closely with the Creative Design Manager and clients throughout the design process.

Events Services

Responsibilities

Produce full design suites across pre-event and day-of collateral, including:
Pre-event assets
Sponsorship decks (from creative direction)
Save-the-dates & invitations (digital + print)
Event branding extensions & iconography
Day-of assets
Programs & booklets
Menus, table numbers, place cards
Signage (registration, cocktail, restroom, directional, etc.)
Stage & large-format displays
Donor/sponsor recognition boards
Digital decks for AV/screens
Impact storytelling boards
Wayfinding & informational signage
Client Edits & Versioning WorkflowApply internal and client edits across asset suites
Maintain version history and consistency
Coordinate revision timelines and approvals
Communicate clearly and professionally during review cycles
Ensure accuracy in final deliverables
Some assets may be shared via Canva for controlled client edits (e.g., sponsor names, agendas, titles), and the designer ensures formatting and visual quality remain intact
Print Production & Vendor CoordinationThis role includes ownership of preparing final files for production, including:
Preparing print-ready files with bleeds, crop marks, safe zones, and correct color profiles
Managing production timelines and scheduling with print vendors
Coordinating proofs and approvals with internal and client teams
Reviewing proofs for accuracy prior to print
Supporting reprints or quantity adjustments as required
Experience with large-format or specialty print vendors is a plus
Deadlines & Live Event AdaptabilityBecause our work supports live events with fixed dates, assets sometimes require:
Accelerated revision cycles
Sponsor/guest list updates
Signage changes
Quantity adjustments
Additional reprints
AV/digital deck updates
The designer must remain calm, organized, and solution-focused under time-sensitive conditions

Required

1–4 years professional design experience (agency, in-house, freelance, nonprofit, event production, or higher-ed environments)
relevant portfolio experience indicating readiness for production responsibilities
Experience with Canva (primary design environment)
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Experience with Google Suites (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Experience with Slack / Asana / Notion (or comparable)
File naming discipline, organization, and version control expected

Preferred

Experience with large-format or specialty print vendors is a plus
Figma (collaborative design + layout)
CapCut / Canva Motion / After Effects (basic motion)
PowerPoint (strong plus; many final decks delivered to AV teams)
Keynote and/or Google Slides
