Principal Member of Technical Staff
Oracle is a world leader in cloud solutions, and they are seeking a Principal Member of Technical Staff to help build the Light-weight Infrastructure at the core of Autonomous OCI. The role involves designing and developing components of core services, collaborating across teams, and participating in design reviews while providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities
Help build the Light-weight Infrastructure (our next-generation runtime for compute, networking, storage, telemetry, and governance) at the core of Autonomous OCI
Dive deep into complex systems, design and develop components of core services, and collaborate across teams to improve scale, resilience, and simplicity
Work directly with architects to ensure new capabilities are built with the right design principles
Participate in design reviews, operations, hiring and mentoring, playing a leadership role in shaping the next generation of the OCI Service Platform
Qualification
Required
6-10+ years of relevant engineering experience in distributed systems and cloud services
Expertise in software development, with experience in languages such as Java or Golang
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across teams
Cloud development experience on one of the major cloud infrastructures (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Preferred
Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and scalable, reliable workflows is a plus

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
