EPITEC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to be responsible for researching, designing, developing, and testing mechanical products, tools, and systems. The role involves creating 3D models, developing functional requirements, and collaborating with drafting teams to produce manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

Create 3D models of new designs using PTC Creo
Develop and document functional requirements and translate them into detailed design documents
Oversee drafting teams to create manufacturing drawings
Perform analysis activities to refine designs (FEA, tolerance stack-ups, etc.)
Support proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports
Communicate technical information to team members, other engineering teams, and suppliers
Develop technical documentation for operation of new tools

Required

Minimum 1 year of experience (internship experience accepted)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
Proficiency in PTC Creo or other parametric 3D modeling/simulation tools
Experience with design and development of product tooling for service applications
Experience maintaining or operating heavy equipment
3D parametric modeling software experience (Creo, Inventor, SolidWorks)
Application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Mechanical print reading and/or drafting experience
Strong verbal and written communication
Good organizational and time management practices
Ability to work within a team or independently
Critical thinking skills

Preferred

Analytical/simulation tools experience (FEA, Bolted Joint Analysis, Tolerance Stack-ups)
