Responsibilities
Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers to enhance their skills and careers at Honeywell
Identify and oversee process improvement projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste
Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies
Provide test and manufacturing support for Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP) production
Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements
Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices
Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis
Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions
Assist development of new products
Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow
Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals
Test products & software
Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues promptly
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
Expert knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to solve complex problems
Experience with tools and technologies such as CAD software, statistical process control, and Six Sigma methodologies
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Preferred
Advanced Engineering degrees such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Product or process engineering experience
Experience with Optics
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects
Hands on work ethic. Initiative and ownership of responsibilities and actions
Strong leadership skills and ability to drive results
