Responsibilities

Develop and maintains a fastening matrix for tracking the fastening process

Attends internal and customer meetings when required

Review product for fastening feasibility

Evaluates product changes and impact to fastening equipment

Makes recommendations to product and tool designs for improvement

Coordinate and line up suppliers for fastening equipment designs

Validates the sizing of the fastening equipment for each application

Ensures designs are cost effective and meet customer specifications

Communicates with all Engineering, Applications, and Project Management groups

Provides documentation of the fastening process

Commissions fastening equipment with associated tooling, including programming of fastening units and/or modifications to the fastening program

Review fastening program i.e. angle and torque charts to ensure fastening program meets build requirements

Releases fastening equipment to be purchased

Required

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must understand customer design and build specifications

Preferred

Bachelor's of Science Degree in Weld Engineering Technology or Weld Engineering is preferred with two to four years' related experience
