Responsibilities
Manage the billing cycle, including claims submission, payment posting, and AR follow-up
Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies
Resolve clearinghouse rejections and resubmit promptly
Monitor and follow up on unpaid claims; work aging AR and protect against timely filing risk
Identify and resolve coding/billing issues to maximize reimbursement (CPT, ICD-10, modifiers)
Manage denials/corrections, including documentation requests and appeals as needed
Collaborate with podiatrists and their staff to resolve billing issues/discrepancies
Advise on product improvement by providing feedback to the development team to enhance billing and coding features based on real-world experience
Stay informed on trends and best practices in podiatry billing and coding
Qualification
Required
2+ years of medical billing/RCM experience required
Solid understanding of CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and reimbursement processes
Familiarity with EMR and practice management systems
Resourceful, solution-oriented, and able to work independently
Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred
Podiatry billing experience strongly preferred
Billing/coding certification is a plus but not required
