Responsibilities
Manage, maintain, and ensure readiness of multiple classified enterprise virtual systems and associated technologies, including:
VMware vSphere
Enterprise Linux
Cisco switches, routers, and NGFWs
Palo Alto firewalls
Windows Servers and Workstations
Perform team lead responsibilities for a small group of System Administrators and Security Engineers, ensuring workflow alignment with project objectives
Deliver senior-level security engineering throughout the system lifecycle
Conduct continuous monitoring and system security assessments using tools such as:
Nessus Security Center / ACAS
Trellix
Splunk Enterprise
Develop and apply mitigation and remediation solutions for identified findings, including patch management
Review and validate system modifications through the Change Management process to ensure no adverse security impacts
Manage local Trellix/ENS installations and coordinate with DISA and C5ISR service providers
Maintain compliance documentation to support authorization and re-authorization in accordance with applicable DoD standards
Support the completion of POA&M (Plan of Action and Milestones) items to maintain system accreditation
Qualification
Required
Active Secret Clearance required
8+ years of experience deploying, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring computer systems and networks
Demonstrated team leadership experience
Ability to implement complex technical solutions and communicate their value to stakeholders
Possession of relevant technical certifications such as: CISSP, CCNA, Security+, RHCSA, or equivalent
System and Network Deployment: 7 years (Required)
System and Network Configuration: 5 years (Required)
Ability to Commute: McLean, VA 22101 (Required)
Work Location: In person
Proven ability to perform enterprise software installations, upgrades, and maintenance
Hands-on experience with Enterprise Linux (Red Hat, Oracle Enterprise Linux, Fedora)
Automation experience using Ansible or PowerShell
Strong proficiency in VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter)
Skilled in Windows Server and Workstation administration and deployment
Familiar with RMF, NIST, and NISPOM security frameworks and documentation practices
Preferred
DISA ACAS and Trellix certifications
