The Accounting and HR Coordinator will partner with the Company Controller and HR Director to manage accounting, payroll, and human resource services, ensuring smooth operations and compliance in various financial and HR activities.

Responsibilities
Provide general clerical support for office activities and provide services to staff with any project (customer or internal) related deadlines
Run payroll using Quick Books on bi-weekly basis. File Federal, State and local taxes on time
Manage and overlooking medical insurance/billing/contracts and signing up new employees and terminating any employees no longer in insurance program
Manage medical insurance compliance paperwork with the insurance agency
Manage IT services with outside supplier – Setting up laptops, phone, credit cards etc. working closely with the company controller
Ensure medical billing accuracy and prevent losses to company. Work closely with ownership and company controllers to pay the medical bill correctly
Work closely with the Medical, vision and dental insurance providers
UIA responses for any past employees, fight illegitimate claims in MI, WI, TX and IL
Set up calendar year Holiday Plan, close track on salaried and hourly employee PTO. Hourly and salaried employees PTO management and overall tightening up procedures and processes
Help with Michigan properties renovations. Contacting vendors/getting timelines of delivery, etc. Other responsibilities and challenges as they come up
Qualification
Required
Fluent in Quick Books – Payroll, HR administration including payroll and benefits
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or related industry
The ability to travel to all facilities to address any issue that arises
Background in the manufacturing industry
Proven ability to influence internal and external decision makers
Results oriented
Strong communication skills
Strong team player
Comfortable and efficient working independently
