Responsibilities

Badge and renew badging for internal and third-party employees nationally as needed by performing audits to maintain renewal dates and collaborating with the employee to collect the data needed to submit the badge application and run the background checks required by state regulations
Assist the Licensing Manager with licensing projects nationwide and day-to-day department activities
Collaborate with internal and external partners to gather information needed for timely submission of business license renewals and applications
Assist with research of regulatory requirements related to licensing compliance for internal and external stakeholders
Request and process approval and payments for license applications from leadership, renewals and employee badging through paper and electronic systems
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of licenses, renewals, and other relevant information
Assist with completion of requests by regulatory authorities for additional information, such as annual reporting, organizational documentation, and key person disclosures
Demonstrate resourcefulness by finding creative ways to complete assigned tasks or overcome challenges using the tools that are presently available
Assists with project management and task management as directed
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in social sciences, humanities, business, or similar field
2+ years of state cannabis licensing experience with a track record of success
2+ years of experience reading and interpreting cannabis laws and regulations
Extensive knowledge of cannabis markets and cannabis business operations
Able to read, understand, and analyze laws, regulations, application requirements, and other materials
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Works well independently and as part of a team
Proven ability to effectively manage priorities across projects and meet deadlines
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and in a dynamic, fast-paced small team environment
Clear, concise, and professional communication in written and verbal formats; able to communicate across organizational levels
Self-starter with a “can do” attitude
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe

Preferred

Prior law firm and/or cannabis consultant experience
