Responsibilities
Design and develop special outdoor cooling products by implementing/modifying certain design aspects of a standard range design in accordance with new customer requirements
Design and develop standard outdoor cooling product ranges and supporting documentation based on project scope, market needs and regulatory requirements for the Data Center Vertical
Evaluate and design electromechanical products by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer and materials
Perform computational fluid dynamic and/or finite element modeling and structural simulation for the products. Interpret results and recommend design changes/directions to meet product performance requirements
In-depth knowledge of refrigeration system, thermodynamics, heat transfer and related Engineering principles
Familiarity of Industry codes and applicable standards related to refrigeration systems
Provide support for existing products, including trouble shooting, root cause analysis, and implementing cost savings ideas
Work with suppliers to identify alternate solutions for engineered components
Analyze feasibility, cost, and return on investment for projects
Lead efforts to assess product performance issues, strive to root cause and lead to effective resolution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or a related engineering field
1-2 years of relevant engineering experience
Prior experience with refrigeration and HVAC system design
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Understanding of compliance requirements for refrigeration and HVAC systems is a plus
Experience with FEA/CFD software
Working knowledge of CAD, preferably Solid Edge or Solid Works, would be advantageous
