Technician IV, Command Center

This role is critical for sustaining operational readiness by monitoring systems and ensuring effective communication during off-hours in a 24/7 manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities
Monitoring and operating Building Management Systems (BMS), Central Monitoring Systems (CMS), and utilities platforms to promptly detect and respond to system alarms
Triaging alarms, coordinating interdepartmental communications (Facilities, Manufacturing, Quality, etc.) to ensure timely and effective response
Investigating utility equipment faults and supporting diagnostics and recovery protocols
Serving as the central communications hub for off-hours events and alerts, ensuring continuous coordination across functions
Maintaining thorough and accurate shift logs, handover reports, and system event documentation
Performing preventive maintenance tasks using CMMS tools like Maximo and contributing to environmental integrity through routine building rounds
Logging chemical and gas usage, maintaining pH neutralization data, and supporting procurement coordination
Assisting junior team members by reinforcing SOPs, answering technical questions, and modeling best practices
Participating in SOP development and suggesting continuous improvement actions based on shift learnings and system trends
Engaging with new digital tools and systems that are increasingly integrated with AI-driven platforms to optimize diagnostics and operational insights
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting facilities, utilities, or building systems in a regulated environment (e.g., biotech, pharma, healthcare, data center)
Hands-on experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and alarm response protocols
Working knowledge of CMMS systems such as Maximo
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as SOPs, equipment manuals, and schematics
Strong communication and coordination skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
Physical ability to conduct rounds, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle gas cylinders or similar equipment
This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Moderna's site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work
