As a Production Planner, you will manage inventory, coordinate logistics, and translate customer orders into operational plans while ensuring compliance with industry specifications.

Responsibilities
Analyze customer and industry specifications to determine process routing requirements and release work order packages using established sequences to meet specification demands
Assist in the analysis of existing processes and identify areas for improvement
Support the development of new processes and procedures to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality
Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, and narratives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to identify and address process-related issues and changes required
Support the implementation of new process systems to track production performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Participate in training programs relevant to company processes
Provide planning support to production teams to troubleshoot process-related issues
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to manufacturing processes
Identify and initiates improvements to production process flows
Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions
Carry out special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of production management computer systems
Working knowledge of PC's in the current company operating system environment
Experience in production planning and scheduling
Preferred
Chemical processing background a plus
Experience with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial bores
Good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
