LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Portland law firm to identify an experienced Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join their team. This role combines substantive paralegal work with legal assistant support, primarily focused on foreclosure work for lender clients.

Responsibilities

Support attorneys with foreclosure matters, including document preparation, filings, and deadline tracking for lender clients
Assist with business formations, contract drafting, regulatory compliance, and corporate filings as needed
Prepare, review, organize, and e-file legal documents, including pleadings, agreements, contracts, discovery materials, and foreclosure-related filings
Maintain corporate records, entity filings, business licenses, and UCC filings
Coordinate meetings, manage calendars and deadlines, and draft correspondence
Provide trial and hearing support as needed
Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner, including document revisions and file organization
Assist with new business intake, including conflict checks, engagement letters, and file opening requests
Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems, including record retention and retrieval
Prepare expense reimbursement reports and submit vendor invoices for payment
Assist other legal assistants with overflow work as needed

Required

Two or more years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or in a similar role
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
Working knowledge of business contracts, corporate filings, court procedures, and case management systems
Experience with e-filing in Oregon and Washington courts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe, including basic spreadsheet creation and editing
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Strong commitment to client service, confidentiality, and professionalism
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues

Preferred

Prior experience with foreclosure matters and UCC filings strongly preferred
