Senior Manager, Hotels, Meetings & Events
LA28 is the independent, non-profit organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Senior Manager, Hotels, Meetings & Events will lead the planning and execution of accommodation for the IOC and IPC during the Games, requiring exceptional collaboration and operational leadership.

Responsibilities
Develop and manage the holistic venue operational planning for the hotel program with the IOC, IPC, and related stakeholders
Support contracts and oversee relationships with hotel partners to ensure service excellence and compliance with LA28 standards
Support and guide the hotels to adapt to an Olympic/Paralympic environment through training and developing policies and procedures
Work closely with functional areas (FA) including Accommodation, Transportation, Accreditation, Security, Logistics to deliver integrated solutions for the OFH/PFH
Serve as the primary liaison between LA28 and IOC/IPC for all Olympic/Paralympic Family Hotel-related matters
Lead planning and coordination for IOC/IPC Games-time institutional meetings, conferences, and hospitality events throughout the Games lifecycle
Overview of the delivery and operational readiness of the IPC function and office spaces, including liaising with respective FAs for FFE and technology provision
Ensure seamless coordination of venues, transport, security, and technical requirements for all events including supporting the IOC with their off-site hospitality house planning
Liaise with IOC/IPC contractors where required
Act as Venue Manager for designated Olympic/Paralympic Family hotels, ensuring readiness, operational efficiency, and compliance with Games standards
Oversee venue staffing plans, operational timelines, and contingency planning
Manage budgets for hotel and event operations, ensuring cost control and financial accountability
Provide regular progress reports and risk assessments to leadership
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 7+ years' experience in events or related industry
Proven track record of leading the planning and delivery of large-scale, complex operations across multiple project phases including planning, readiness, and operations
Skill working with senior executives and building cross-functional partnerships
Strong negotiation, organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong communication both written and oral
Experience working with excel and Smartsheet applications
Extremely detailed-oriented with excellent organizational skills
A high energy level individual with the ability to manage through a period of growth and change
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Sports Management, or related field
Preferred
Past multisport Games experience is a plus
Working knowledge of International Olympic/Paralympic Committee is a plus
Advanced degree preferred
