Responsibilities

Develop and maintain KPIs, metrics, and dashboards by leveraging diverse datasets

Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and error handling

Design and implement back-end processes using data warehouse modeling techniques

Build and optimize ELT pipelines to capture and transform data for analytics and reporting

Partner with cross-functional teams to gather and refine business requirements for data solutions

Implement data security measures and access controls to protect sensitive information

Automate and improve data processes and workflows for scalability and efficiency

Develop, test, and maintain high-quality code in SQL, Python, Power BI, Azure Synapse, dbt, Airflow or similar programming languages

Distill problem definitions, models, and constraints from informal business requirements

Monitor data infrastructure for performance and reliability to address issues promptly

Participate in data governance and compliance efforts to meet regulatory requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field

2+ years of experience in data analysis, ETL, and data warehousing, including experience working with MS SQL Server database and Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI)

Ability to independently execute mid-level data engineering tasks with ownership of projects

Ability to implement Data Warehouse modeling techniques to capture complex business requirements

Ability to contribute to the development of scalable data solutions and streamline reporting

Strong proficiency in SQL, specifically with MS SQL Server 2012 and higher, and Python and libraries like Pandas, PyODBC, NumPy, is required

Experience with BI tools (Power BI) and data visualization

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with BI/DW lifecycle including source data analysis, ETL, data-marts, reporting, dashboards and analytics

Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

Experience with AGILE methodology

Preferred

Experience using Azure Synapse, dbt, Dagster or Airflow, and Fabric is highly desirable

Experience with Healthcare data not required, but highly desirable

Bonus: Experience with healthcare data and Kimball methodology
