Responsibilities
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple business units
Manage close calendars, deliverables, and timelines
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and review of financial statements and supporting schedules
Maintain consistency and discipline in financial reporting, including variance analysis and trend insights
Maintain ownership of balance-sheet quality, including cash, AR/AP, accruals, payroll, intercompany, and other key accounts
Ensure account reconciliations are accurately prepared, reviewed, and resolved with proper documentation
Identify and remediate aged or unsupported balances proactively
Apply accounting policies in accordance with established accounting standards (e.g., U.S. GAAP)
Document, maintain, and enhance accounting processes and internal controls
Identify control gaps or process inefficiencies and implement scalable improvements
Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and operational discipline within the finance function
Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members
Provide coaching, clear expectations, and structured performance guidance
Foster a collaborative environment that strengthens technical skills and team capability
Serve as primary contact for external audit processes, including preparation of schedules and issue resolution
Support compliance with lender or regulatory reporting requirements
Collaborate with external advisors and key stakeholders as needed
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities through accurate financial data and insights
Provide meaningful variance analysis and context for business decision-making
Deliver reliable financial information to support leadership and strategic initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
10+ years of general ledger accounting experience
Working knowledge of payroll accounting and reconciliations
Strong understanding of GAAP
Proven process-improvement mindset and comfort working in dynamic environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Senior-level accounting experience in a multi-entity environment; Experience with multi-currency operations preferred
Demonstrated ownership of financial close, balance-sheet management, and audit processes
Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP; Familiarity with IFRS is a plus
Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage both strategic and hands-on responsibilities
Experience interacting with auditors and external stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
Experience with multi-currency operations
Familiarity with IFRS
