Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend systems that analyze and optimize AWS cloud usage
Drive large technical initiatives from conception to delivery with a strong focus on long-term impact and maintainability
Collaborate closely with infrastructure and product engineers across Robinhood to reduce inefficiencies in cloud resource usage
Partner with finance and platform teams to enable visibility and accountability for cloud spend
Build tools and dashboards to help teams visualize and understand their infrastructure costs
Qualification
Required
5+ years of software engineering experience working on backend or infrastructure systems
Proven success in building or maintaining systems that impact cloud cost efficiency at scale
Experience working with AWS services and strong familiarity with cloud architecture principles
Practical knowledge of cloud cost management strategies (e.g., FinOps, cost observability, usage analytics)
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse technical teams
