This engineer will support two attached plants and collaborate closely with various teams on small capital projects, while also managing inventory and modernizing legacy instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities
Support two attached plants (Flash and Clinch)
Collaborate closely with the electrical lead and mechanical lead on small capital projects such as installing recycle mash lines, head tanks, valves, and transmitters
Begin each day with a conference call alongside operations and maintenance teams to review planned and emergency jobs
Determine electrical or mechanical needs
Assist instrumentation techs with calibrations and procedure development
Update and verify BOMs
Use SAP to manage inventory and failure data
Modernize legacy instrumentation systems including level transmitters, radars, gauges, pressure transmitters, and gas analyzers
Troubleshoot and plan repairs
Prepare preventative maintenance plans
Develop design specs
Manage improvement projects
Support other project managers
Coordinate with vendors and contractors
Follow site safety and change management procedures
Expand to include automation-driven process and productivity improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience in chemical/petrochemical production facilities
Experience in manufacturing processes
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with both operations and maintenance teams
Comfortable working alongside hourly I&E technicians
Preferred
Experience with Emerson DeltaV systems and instrumentation (PLC experience is a plus, though limited use on-site)
Familiarity with SAP
Background in chemical or petrochemical production environments
Knowledge of Foundation Fieldbus
