Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain large-scale Java backend applications
Own all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications
Participate in system and application design discussions
Perform due diligence across all SDLC phases: analysis, design, build, testing, and deployment
Write high-quality unit tests and improve code coverage using JUnit and Mockito
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in test and production environments
Optimize application performance to achieve sub-second response times
Leverage Dynatrace for monitoring, performance tuning, and diagnostics
Work with product owners to prioritize features for ongoing sprints
Maintain and manage technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, and known defects
Identify and recommend opportunities to adopt innovative technologies
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team

Required

5+ years of experience in Java backend development
Strong core Java fundamentals
Experience building large-scale, distributed applications
Hands-on experience with: Java, Spring Boot

Maven, Gradle
Git
Unix/Linux shell scripting
RESTful services
RDBMS and SQL
NoSQL databases
Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
Application monitoring and performance tuning using Dynatrace
Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum)
Excellent communication skills and strong team collaboration abilities

Preferred

Cloud experience (public or private) strongly preferred
Experience with microservices architecture
CI/CD pipeline exposure
Experience working in high-availability, low-latency systems
Knowledge of security best practices in backend systems
