Responsibilities

Provide leadership and is responsible for the effective ongoing quality, productivity, and efficiency of the MR department

Assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans

Spend 95% of time in direct patient care

Qualification

ARRT certification in MRMagnetic Resonance Safety CertificationIV CredentialingMR experienceTeam buildingDecision makingConflict management

Required

High School Diploma or GED, required

Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required

Minimum of two years MR experience, required

Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required

IV Credentialed, required

Applicable state license, required

Thorough knowledge of policies and procedures, equipment used in performing assigned duties, and information systems

Possesses abilities in team building, decision making, and conflict management

Able to perform and assist others with procedures and direct workflow

Exhibits leadership by providing compassionate, remarkable care, coupled with a positive attitude, patience, and the ability to work with others

Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing

Preferred

2 Year / Associate Degree Preferred, preferred

Magnetic Resonance Safety Certified by ABMRS - MRSO (MRSC™), preferred
