Responsibilities

Perform thorough tool inspections to ensure quality, functionality, and adherence to specifications, utilizing blueprints as necessary
Manage and maintain accurate records of tooling inventory within SAP, including tracking usage, maintenance, and disposition
Collaborate with the supply chain team to forecast tooling needs, procure new tools, and manage vendor relationships effectively
Develop and implement efficient tooling management strategies to minimize downtime and optimize operational costs
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and procurement, regarding tooling requirements and issues
Provide leadership and guidance on best practices for tool handling and storage, potentially involving people management responsibilities within a smaller team or project
Identify opportunities for process improvements in tooling acquisition, storage, and maintenance
