Responsibilities
Coordinate and facilitate technical safety studies and assessments (e.g., HAZOPs, LOPAs) for offshore/subsea projects
Develop and review study charters, execute reviews, and generate technical reports
Interface with EPC contractors and internal teams to ensure timely execution of assessments and resolution of action items
Support compliance reviews of engineering designs to meet company and industry safety standards
Provide discipline engineering assurance and evaluate contractor deliverables
Monitor and steward Action Resolution Plans and risk mitigations through closure
Ensure alignment with project goals, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures
Communicate safety engineering activities, progress, and risks effectively across stakeholder
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience
10+ years of experience in EHS, Process Safety, or Loss Prevention roles in the oil & gas industry
Offshore/subsea project experience required
Demonstrated HAZOP (Guideword) facilitation experience
Proficiency in consequence modeling tools (e.g., DNV PHAST)
Strong knowledge of discipline design codes, safety standards, and regulations
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage shifting priorities under tight deadlines
Fluent in English (spoken and written); Microsoft Office proficient
