Responsibilities
Direct Multi-Site laboratory operations, including administrative management, technical oversight, quality assurance, compliance, and staffing
Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal requirements, including CLIA, CAP, and The Joint Commission (TJC)
Support system-wide standardization and integration of laboratory policies, procedures, LIS, instrumentation, supplies, and quality processes
Collaborate with Corporate Laboratory Operations Leadership on policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, and laboratory information systems
Lead quality improvement and performance monitoring, ensuring laboratories meet or exceed established financial, quality, and service KPIs
Maintain accountability for financial performance, including budgeting, productivity, and cost management
Provide direct operational support, including performing routine laboratory testing as needed
Supervise and develop laboratory personnel, ensuring appropriate staffing, competency, and performance management
Manage special projects and system initiatives, ensuring completion within established timelines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in a scientific field to meet requirements of Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA)
Minimum 5 years of supervisory clinical laboratory experience required
General Accounting and statistics and financial operating experience
Quality Control and quality tools management courses desired
Preferred
Possession of a valid license or certificate of Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist, ASCP preferred
LEAN Six Sigma certification preferred
Master's Degree preferred
