Howell Instruments is seeking a Manager for their Contracts department. This role supervises and administers activities related to contracts, ensuring compliance with laws and company objectives while managing contract negotiations and documentation preparation.

Responsibilities

Manages active contracts and examines contract terms and conditions
Analyzes contract requirements to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company objectives
Negotiates and administers assigned contracts to ensure completeness and accuracy
Advises applicable internal company managers of contractual rights and obligations
Directs personnel in the preparation of documentation necessary to accomplish the shipment of ordered products
Initiates requests for amendment or modifications from customer to comply with quoted terms
Supervises department personnel
Performs additional duties as required by supervisor

Required

Relevant coursework completed in contract negotiation and contract management
Minimum of three years of experience, preferably in procurement/contract field
Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations
Wide Area Workflow and EAR/ITAR Compliance Training required
Must be resourceful and possess negotiation and customer service skills
Ability to recognize risks and opportunities and communicate these to supervisor and team members
Capable of delivering error-free work, using independent review as needed
Must have up to date knowledge of technical discipline
