Our client, Aroha Technologies, is seeking a Senior Test Lead in API/Webservices Testing, SDET, Selenium to oversee the technical aspects of testing projects and ensure quality and efficiency in testing processes.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage api and webservices testing projects from initiation to completion
Develop and implement testing strategies, plans, and procedures for api testing
Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify testing requirements and resolve technical issues
Conduct automated testing using selenium for web applications
Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements
Mentor and guide team members on technical best practices in testing
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in api and webservices testing methodologies
Communicate effectively with stakeholders on project status and technical aspects of testing
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in api testing and webservices testing
Proficiency in using automation tools like selenium for web application testing
In-depth knowledge of sdet (software development engineer in test) methodologies
Familiarity with programming languages such as java, python, or ruby
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing processes
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Good communication and leadership skills
Requires strong techno-functional automation expertise in complex insurance environments
Combines deep insurance business knowledge with advanced automation engineering skills
Designs, builds, and maintains robust automated test suites for policy administration and back-office workflows
Covers critical processes like enrollment, eligibility changes, endorsements, renewals, billing, claims, commissions, and financial postings
Extends beyond UI automation to integration-heavy smoke and sanity testing across PAS, billing, claims, commissions, and portals
Implements API-level and contract tests to ensure data consistency, schema integrity, and business rule compliance
Builds hybrid automation combining UI, API, batch, and database validations for end-to-end insurance flows
Validates that policy updates trigger correspondence, portal updates, premium recalculations, and accurate financial postings
Collaborates with product, business, and integration teams to align automation with real-world insurance scenarios
Supports frequent releases with reliable regression coverage and fast, trustworthy feedback for production readiness
Preferred
ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer Certification is a plus
