Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day activities of a lean development team, balancing workloads and technical coverage
Review and troubleshoot SQL and Java code, ensuring correctness and efficiency
Own development metrics, team performance, and escalated technical support
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve automation
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project and operational success
Facilitate integration between legacy systems and modern applications while supporting ongoing maintenance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience (or ongoing professional learning)
Minimum 7 years of software development experience
At least 2 years supervising development staff
Strong SQL skills, with ability to read, review, and troubleshoot queries in production and development environments
Experience with Java development
Proven ability to organize cross-functional team workloads and prioritize effectively
Preferred
Experience with PL/SQL or working in a legacy environment (Oracle Forms, procedural codebases)
Experience working in an insurance or TPA environment
