Day Shift Laser Tracker Inspector III
Blue Origin is working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. The Day Shift Laser Tracker Inspector III will be responsible for setting up, operating, and performing data analysis for laser tracking and inspections of aerospace components, ensuring quality and safety in space exploration.

Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible to setup, operate, and perform data analysis for: laser tracker; Romer arm; manual layout using design data to inspect machined and received components
Perform inspections on tooling
Perform first article, in-process, final and receiving inspections
Provide feedback to machinists and engineers with dimensional data
Document, track and complete discrepancy reports
In addition, there will be times that you will need to provide inspection time estimates
Maintain and track all inspection equipment calibrations
Support process improvement initiatives
Maintain configuration control on files and job records
Safely work within an industrial environment
You will be required to work independently without the direct oversite of more experienced inspectors

Qualification
Required
Experience with dimensional inspection/Machining of aerospace components
Must have 8 years minimum experience with Leica Laser Tracker operation and Spatial Analyzer programming
Blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009 standard
Excellent communication skills
Excellent skills using Microsoft Excel
Fluent in the use of precision hand tools, gages, optical comparator, and surface plate work
Experience inspecting large, tight tolerance, high value components
Preferred
CAD system knowledge, preferably Creo
Experience using Trigonometry to perform complex analysis
PC-DMIS & Romer and CMM Experience
PC DMIS NC on machine inspection
Advanced machining knowledge
Familiar with Mastercam preferably X6 or higher
Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware
Outside processing knowledge (heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.)
Experience with tooling standard ASME Y14.43-2011
Familiarity with ASME Y14.5-2018
Familiarity with model-based definition
