CNaught has built an AI-native platform for carbon reporting and management, and they are seeking their first product leader to transform insights into a category-defining product. As the Founding Product Manager, you will be responsible for the complete product lifecycle, from identifying unmet needs to shipping features, while shaping product strategy and culture.

Responsibilities

Own product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with company growth goals
Define and prioritize features based on customer needs, market opportunities, and business impact
Shape overall product portfolio strategy
Identify and evaluate new product opportunities beyond current roadmap
Define product development processes, frameworks, and rituals for the company
Establish product metrics, KPIs, and success criteria across products
Lead customer interviews and contextual inquiries with sustainability professionals
Translate customer pain points into product requirements and specifications
Work directly with engineering, marketing, science, and revenue teams to scope, prioritize, and ship features
Write detailed product specs and user stories for development
Create product documentation, release notes, and training materials
Support sales with demos, competitive positioning, and technical evaluation
Understand capabilities and limitations of LLMs for carbon reporting use cases
Design prompts, workflows, and guardrails for AI features
Monitor AI performance and iterate on accuracy/reliability
Deep understanding of carbon reporting/management competitive landscape
Track industry trends in climate tech, ESG regulation, and AI applications
Advise on M&A opportunities, partnership strategy, or platform decisions

Qualification

Required

Substantial product management experience, including at a senior/lead/principal level
Track record of building 0→1 products
Deep AI/LLM expertise, ideally shipped multiple features and/or products
AI-native product workflow
Strategic product thinker, can see around corners and establish vision

Preferred

Previous experience as first product hire or Head of Product at startup
Prior experience in sustainability software or climate tech
Charismatic communicator who energizes customers, teammates, and stakeholders
Technical skills: can evaluate ML models, understand data pipelines, prototype interfaces
